Modern social knowledge, influenced by the transformations of the Enlightenment and positivist perspectives, with its emphasis on empiricism and secular principles, has reduced the human being to a material and self-sufficient entity, neglecting the spiritual, monotheistic, and moral dimensions. This approach, which separates religion from social spheres, is incompatible with Islamic culture and values, leading to social crises and confusion in understanding the essence of human nature. In Islamic societies, this imported knowledge cannot effectively address social issues; therefore, there is a need to reconstruct it based on the theoretical and normative foundations of the Holy Qur’an. The aim of this article is to examine the role of the Qur’an in reconstructing social knowledge by critiquing non-divine foundations and offering a monotheistic and ethics-centered framework that aligns with Islamic culture and contributes to the regulation of social relations and structures. The fundamental question of this research is: How can the theoretical and normative foundations of the Qur’an reconstruct social knowledge so that it becomes compatible with Islamic values and capable of addressing social problems?
